Executive Board - March 2004
An Executive Board meeting will be held during AORN Congress in San Diego California. IFPN has been invited by President Shultz to bring greetings to the Opening Session of Congress. Congress theme this year is Unity: Perioperative Partnerships.
Minutes (draft) and nutshell notes will be available on the website three weeks after the meeting. (www.ifpn.org.uk )


On Line Journal – Developments for the launch of the journal are currently being worked on. CNR are asked to advertise to their membership for articles to be submitted for publication and for recommendations for the editorial review panel. Names to Kate Woodhead please, to be passed on the Editor. Further details will be available on the website after the end of March.


CNR Seminars
ORNAC 2007 has been added to the list of planned seminars and SATS have extended an invitation to IFPN for 2009.


IFPN /ACORN Seminar will be held in Adelaide, South Australia on Wednesday 28 April 2004. CNR are asked to ensure that members are aware of the programme and details of ACORN registration details.

World Congress 2005
AORN have announced that World Conference on Surgical Patient Care will be held in Barcelona, Spain in 2005. Dates are still to be announced.

International Nurses Day – May 12th 2004. International Council of Nurses celebrates Florence Nightingale’s birthday each year by highlighting issues of importance to nurses and nursing everywhere. The theme this year helps to focus on the WHO Millennium Goal #1 to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. ICN’s theme is “Nurses working with the poor; Against poverty”.
