ICN Conference 2003
The ICN conference was moved to Geneva following the appalling bombs in Marakech. The dates of the conference remain the same. Kate Woodhead will represent IFPN at the conference and hopes to make contact with nurses from countries where there are Perioperative organizations who could be potential members.

AORN Leadership Conference

Betty Shultz kindly invited us to hold our next CNR meeting in July at the Leadership Conference in Denver. However, plans had already been made for the meeting to be held during NATN conference in October 03. there is also much work to complete before this date, so more time is required.

Meeting Dates

CNR will be held on Tuesday, 7 October, in Harrogate, England.
Observers are welcome, but please inform us beforehand!

Executive Board Meeting will be held on Monday 6 October 2003.

EORNA

A meeting was held with Kristiina Juntila, President of EORNA during their recent conference in Crete. This will be followed by a further meeting in October at NATN Congress.

ICN/AORN

IFPN have been invited to join a piece of work being undertaken with ICN and AORN to develop the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP). The research is interested in advancing the ICNP and cross mapping the PNDS ( the Perioperative Nursing Data Set) . As we have been invited to make suggestions for joint funding for this project, I shall be meeting up with the Director at ICN responsible for this work to discuss the finance and understand the detail.
